OUR INITIATIVES

Many doors.
One journey.

Young people enter One6Teen through whatever door makes sense for them — sport, music, faith, mentorship, or community. Every door is equally valid. Every path leads to the same destination: identity, character, and courageous leadership.

THE FOUR FORMATION PILLARS

Four doors.
One formation journey.

One6Teen operates through four interconnected programme pillars — each a different door into the same formation journey. Sport, creativity, faith, and relationships are all vehicles. The destination is always identity, character, purpose, and leadership.

PILLAR 01

Faith & Spiritual Formation

Anchoring identity and purpose in something deeper than circumstances. Faith-based mentorship pathways. Safe, honest conversations about life, meaning, belief, and calling. A space where young people can ask the hard questions and find real answers.

PILLAR 02

Mentorship & Relational Leadership

Restoring the presence of trusted adults in the lives of young people. Mentorship Circles in high schools and communities. Leadership cohorts for youth showing potential. Coach mentorship — equipping adults who already have influence.

PILLAR 03

Creative & Culture Formation

Building confidence, identity, and expression through creativity. Worship Circles — music, arts, and expression as vehicles for healing and identity. UNASHAMED Night — our flagship talent showcase where young people perform and own their story.

PILLAR 04

Community & Fatherhood Engagement

Mobilising adults, fathers, and the marketplace to step into the presence gap. Dads Talks — honest, powerful conversations about fatherhood and presence. Men's mentorship spaces. Community Circles for parents and caregivers.

CURRENTLY ACTIVE

Our programmes
in action.

One6Teen deploys its formation model through a growing ecosystem of concrete initiatives — each one designed to meet young people where they are and walk with them toward identity, character, and leadership.

ACTIVE

Mentorship Circles

Structured Mentorship Circles operating in high schools — leadership sessions and formation programmes within the daily environment where young people spend most of their time. Beyond the school gate, Circles operate in neighbourhoods, churches, and community centres.

ACTIVE

Worship Circles

Faith-centred creative gatherings that use music, arts, and expression as vehicles for healing, identity, and belonging. Ongoing community spaces — not once-off events — where young people encounter something deeper and discover who they are through creativity and faith.

MONTHLY

Living Room Sessions

Once a month, the movement comes home. An intimate evening of worship held in a private home — warm, personal, and deeply relational. Small. Intentional. Transformational. Presence over programme, relationship over event.

ACTIVE

University Worship Sessions

One6Teen takes worship and formation directly onto university campuses — into the spaces where young adults navigate identity, independence, and purpose without the support structures they had in high school. Our University Sessions create a consistent, faith-centred community on campus.

ACTIVE

Dads Talks

Honest, powerful conversations designed specifically for fathers, father figures, and men who carry influence in the lives of young people. Not lectures — real conversations about presence, responsibility, and what the next generation needs from the men in their lives.

MONTHLY

The 116 Podcast

A monthly podcast tackling real conversations that shape a generation — fatherhood, identity, purpose, faith, mental health, and what it means to be unashamed. Raw, honest, and accessible to everyone across South Africa and beyond.

EVENTS

UNASHAMED Night

Our flagship creative event — a stage for young people to perform, showcase their gifts, express who they are, and be genuinely celebrated. UNASHAMED Night is more than an event — it is a declaration. Every person on that stage carries a story.

ACTIVE

Sport Mentorship

Sport woven into the DNA of everything we do. We mentor athletes across all sporting codes, equip coaches with character-based leadership tools, and ensure every sporting environment One6Teen touches becomes a space of formation, not merely performance.

ACTIVE

Community Circles

Gatherings for parents, fathers, and community members. Conversations that activate adults. Building the next generation of mentors from within the community itself. One6Teen goes where young people are — not just into schools, but into neighbourhoods and community spaces.

DAILY

1:16 Prayer Movement

Every day at 1:16pm, a growing community pauses for one moment — to intercede for the young people who need it most. No programme. No membership. Just one moment, one prayer, one generation. Set your alarm. Join the movement.

COMING SOON

Rooted & Rising — Full Programme

One6Teen's flagship personal formation journey — a structured, immersive experience taking a young person from wherever they are to a deep sense of identity, purpose, and direction. More than a course. A journey. Currently in development.

HOW THE MODEL WORKS

Not events.
Circles.

One6Teen operates as a platform of Circles — not events, not once-off sessions. Ongoing communities of belonging where formation happens week after week, relationship after relationship.

A Mentorship Circle is a small group of 8 to 15 young people meeting regularly — usually weekly or fortnightly — with a trained, consistent mentor. The structure creates safety; the relationship creates transformation.

Many doors. One formation journey. The circle never closes.

MENTORSHIP CIRCLES

The core group experience. Structured, recurring gatherings led by trained mentors. Part conversation, part leadership development, part family. A consistent community where every young person belongs.

WORSHIP CIRCLES

Faith-centred creative gatherings. Music, arts, and expression as vehicles for healing, identity, and belonging. Mentorship embedded within creativity.

COMMUNITY CIRCLES

Gatherings for parents, fathers, and community members. Conversations that activate adults. Building the next generation of mentors from within the community itself.

CASCADING MENTORSHIP MODEL

Pass It Down.

Every generation mentors the one below it. No one is too young to lead. No one is too experienced to still need guidance. Everyone in the chain is simultaneously being poured into and pouring out.

TIER 1

University Mentors

University students & young adults

University students who have been through the One6Teen formation process step back into high schools as peer mentors. Close enough in age to be relatable, far enough ahead to be relevant. They understand the pressures and questions — because they were sitting in the same chairs not long ago.

TIER 2

Senior Learners

Grade 10–12 mentoring Grade 8–9

Senior students carry an influence inside the school that no adult can replicate — present every day, sharing the same corridors, speaking the same language. Pass It Down activates that influence intentionally. Senior learners become leaders not by title but by practice.

TIER 3

The Pipeline

Junior learners becoming future mentors

Junior learners are, from the earliest stages of their One6Teen journey, being formed with the understanding that they are not just recipients — they are future mentors. As they grow, they move up the chain. The movement multiplies through the natural progression of young people who were poured into and now pour out.

WHY IT WORKS

Peer influence is one of the most powerful forces in a young person's life. Pass It Down does not fight that force — it redirects it. Instead of young people being shaped by peers who are drifting, they are shaped by peers who are leading.

WHAT IT PRODUCES

Young leaders who are humble enough to still be mentored and courageous enough to mentor others. A school culture where looking out for the person below you is not unusual — it is expected.

ANNUAL FLAGSHIP GATHERING

The Formation Camp.

Once a year. Every generation. Something permanent.

For three days, youth, fathers, and mentors step out of their ordinary environments and into something intentional. Not a conference. Not a training. An encounter. The most important things that happen are not the scheduled activities — they are what happens when the right people are in the right place with enough time to be real.

The Formation Camp is for everyone — youth ages 13–25, their dads and father figures, trained mentors, and volunteers. Sponsored places are available for youth who cannot afford to attend — no young person is turned away.

“Three days where fathers show up, mentors invest, and young people discover who they were always meant to be.”

Generations Together

Youth and their fathers and mentors eating, being challenged, laughing together. The generation gap does not close in theory. It closes here.

Presence Over Programme

Every element of the camp exists to create one thing: genuine human presence. Adults who are fully there. Young people who feel fully seen.

Identity Formed

Three days of intentional formation. Being asked the questions that matter. Being challenged, being seen, being celebrated. Many young people leave the Formation Camp knowing for the first time who they actually are.

Sent Out With Purpose

The camp ends with a commissioning — not a closing ceremony. Every person leaves acknowledged, affirmed, and sent out with renewed purpose and an accountability partner.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

We are seeking a farm, retreat centre, or outdoor facility that can accommodate 50 to 150 people with sleeping facilities, communal spaces, and open land. A donated or subsidised venue would be one of the most significant in-kind contributions One6Teen could receive.

GROWTH STRATEGY

Where we are
going from here.

Foundations are not built in a single season. But they are built one stone at a time. Every school we enter, every circle we run, every young person who walks through the door is a stone in something that will outlast all of us.

PHASE 01
Plant
Now – Year 1

High schools and community circles running. 100+ youth actively engaged. Mentor pipeline built. Corporate partnerships established. UNASHAMED Night launched.

PHASE 02
Grow
Year 2–3

Provincial expansion. Website and digital presence live. Podcast growing. Mentor training programme certified. School and sports body partnerships formalised.

PHASE 03
Scale
Year 4–5

National chapter model. 500+ youth served annually. Annual 116 Summit. Replication blueprint complete.

PHASE 04
Go Global
Year 6+

International expansion — African diaspora first, then high-need regions across the continent. A model designed to replicate across the world.
