This is the story behind One6Teen — where it came from, what we saw, what we decided, and where we are going.

War zones. Boardrooms. Campuses. Communities.
One6Teen was not built from a distance. It was built from years spent on the ground — in war-torn countries and first-world cities, in under-resourced communities and corporate spaces, alongside professional elite athletes, business leaders, and everyday families.
We have been part of movements with a genuine heart for the next generation. We have been well travelled — across cultures, contexts, and circumstances that most people never encounter. From mission fields to university campuses, from high school halls to international boardrooms.
And through all of it — one thing kept pulling us back.
"Young people. No matter where we went — they were the reason we stayed."
One6Teen was born out of that pull. Not as a concept — but as a conviction. A decision to stop observing the gap and start building something to fill it.
The same gap. Every context. Every culture.
No matter the country. No matter the community. No matter the level of wealth or poverty — young people without consistent, present, trusted adults in their lives were struggling. The context changed. The crisis didn't.
The deeper and often overlooked crisis facing young people is not purely material — it is relational. Fatherlessness has become one of the most significant social challenges affecting youth development — contributing to identity confusion, poor decision-making, low self-worth, and vulnerability to harmful influences.
For many young people, the issue is not simply a lack of opportunity. It is a lack of guidance. They are navigating critical life stages without trusted adults to walk alongside them, model values, and help them see a future worth striving toward.
Resources without mentorship rarely lead to sustainable change. Young people do not only need opportunities — they need people.
And that calling became One6Teen.
At some point, observation has to become action. That moment came not as a sudden decision — but as the natural conclusion of everything that had been seen, heard, and carried for years.
The decision was to stop watching the gap and start building something to fill it — not with a once-off event or a short-term project, but with a structure. Something intentional. Something replicable. Something that could outlast any single programme or person.
"That observation became a calling. And that calling became One6Teen."
One6Teen Foundation was built with one clear conviction: if you create the right mentorship structure — one that is relational, values-based, and replicable — you can change the trajectory of a young person's life. And if you can do it for one, you can do it for many.
Wherever there is a young person who needs someone to show up.
One6Teen is not an organisation that runs events. It is a movement. The whole heart of what we are building is a mentorship structure that can be established in schools across the region — and wherever we have impact.
Every school that opens its doors to One6Teen becomes part of a growing network of presence. A movement of trusted adults — teachers, mentors, creatives, professionals, and community members — walking alongside the next generation.

This is not a short-term intervention. It is a preventative, relational, and transformative approach to youth development — and it is already in motion.
